..still smelling crack on my clothes....well,not really, but my computer problems are slowly getting fixed, and I figured I'd get back on the grind a bit with some updates...SUPER 7 Volume 2 will be available for Download very very soon, its all finished, just waiting for the link for ya'll...I have to say for the first time in a very long time I am 100% happy with a mix we've done...probably cause its only 10 minutes long..but it inspired me to try and finish my "Timing, Forget the Timing" mix that has been in limbo for a lil while, but I'll get on that after SXSW and before our West Coast run in April...so for anyone in the Austin area please make sure you come thru to GRUV(101 W. 5th Street) for the Super 7 Showcase that has an ill ass line up from people from both volumes, check the flyer above...
and not to leave this post without anything for the dj's, here is a re edit or re order of sorts, of the DJ Spinna party classic "Bounce", first time I heard it Chubby Chub was playing up in Springfield Mass(maybe a half hour outside Boston) where he was doing a Hip Hop night...I wanna say it was on a Thursday...but me and Eso and Karma would make the trip pretty much anywhere there was a half decent Hip Hop night being thrown, Chubby Chub(originally from NY relocated to Boston in the mid 90's) the nights resident, always 'went in' real strong, I mean he was running thru records, and he would always rock this "Bounce" song back to back with Capleton's "Tour"(the Lil John RMX) and these records were brand spankin' new...no one was playing them at the time('95), I knew the Capleton thru trial and error of just buying every reggae 12", but the Spinna(under the name Rude Rydims) record was a bit harder to track down...I remember nervously being that guy at Funky Fresh Records(R.I.P) saying that "it's that record that repeats the 'Bounce' from 'Bounce Rock Skate Roll' to blank stares...anyhow..after about 2 weeks of going to hear Chubby Chub spin, I just went up and asked him, while at the same time giving him a mixtape I did of breaks, where he stopped me after glancing at the tracklisting for a second and dapped me saying "anyone who puts "Shaft in Africa" on a mix is ok with me"...I was crushed when a year later he had no idea of the exchange or who I was when we DJ'd together at a Fuggee's afterparty...anyway...myspace and blog are being redone at some point...big shouts to the homie DJ Anonymous....it will be pressed very soon!!
enjoy..

Excellent man, I always enjoy checking out your posts. Re-edit is ill!
Yoooo. I love the old stories. The nervous guy at Funky Fresh and the blank stares, lol. Story of my life. Those guys hated every customer that wasn't from OP. Great memories, hope all is well dude. Do u still have a copy of that "King Of NY" mixtape (litteraly) u did a few years back?? It must have been 2000 or so. U need to post that!! Classic.
