PIMPGEARS HISTORY 101

I'll hopefully keep this short and to the point, here is a mix I did of Originals back in 1997, I posted this once, last year, but the link is dead, mediafire downloads are faster and I pressed up a small run recently to give out...I been in the giving mood lately...in short my man Rocky from PimpGear(one of the O.G 'Street Wear' company's) was going out to Magic and wanted to press up a few Mix Tapes to give out at his booth...me and Fakts One did a Hip Hop Mix, and in addition he asked me to do an 'original/sample type' mix, as I was playing some of that stuff early in the night during my sets at The Western Front and Middle East and at The Playhouse on Landsdowne...in short, I gotta say I was completely inspired by DJ Shame's Mix(Rob One Presents...)which preceded this one by like 4 years,also Muro and Kon & Amir had at least 2 Volumes out, so there def a handful out at the time, that were classics in my opinion...I borrowed a few necessary standards from my man Skinny B, as I didn't buy many bootlegs, and wanted to make sure they made it on there, and all in all it was mad fun to make, Papa D! rocking the ADAT machines for me, ahh, fun times....I still enjoy record shopping(not diggin! diggin, a term I always hated, like 'hey wanna go diggin'..ugghh...always annoyed me, its like 'nah But I'll go record shopping'),I try and make it out physically every few months, although, the online game is waaay more convenient, I still salivate on Recordkingz.com daily..damn you Julien! anyways, tomorrow night me and Beyonder are at Gypsy Bar, Friday Puma City and Sunday at Mantra for Winters B Day Bash!!
