Back on My BS!

of ripping Vinyl that is....I think I am caught up on most of the Hip Hop Rips I been doing for the past month or so, I am now moving on to some Breaks and basic goodness that I actually like in my collection, esp Hokis Pokus' 'Nowhere' one my favorite jams, I know i have the Ballroom edit of it, but I can't find it in the current mess that has become my vinyl collection, I realised after LA I put so many songs in my Serato(which as Kon pointed out to me) I'd never play, so I am kinda over having chainsaw Electro songs "just in case",songs titled 'Swag Surfing' and remixes with Fatman Scoop screaming at you to do various things, mainly "putting you hands up"...this excludes "Be Faithful" and the accompanying Accapella I have of it, cause it gets grandfathered in for being pre Serato, and for all in tense puposes..it just works..everytime..all the time..but hearing "World Hold On" with (insert Fatman Scoop
s voice here)"here we go now, here We Go Now" during the hook, makes zero sense, or like Frankie Valli's "oh What a Night"..please.stop....moving on, aside from wax,I also have a ton of mixtapes, and VHS's to take care of too, Necro's 1997 short film,187 Reasons Y(which has a small Sizzahandz cameo), Jay Z Live @ The Tunnel that I know the intro of has been making it's rounds on NahRight and Rapradar, and CNN's Promo Video...just cause...I should be doing a post West Coast Run update, but I wanna edit down the video from Banana Split and I left my camera @ The Grafton when we checked out,so visuals are pretty limited...I will say we both had such a good time, I did an impromptu House set @ More on the Floor(Eli's set was amazing!!), played St.Ides Commercials and Wu Tang @ Banana Split, following Beyonder's lead of dropping "Daytona 500" right off the bat, and realised playing my blend of Too Shorts "Blow the Whistle" is getting no where's near the reaction the original would...I will post the West Coast mix very soon, wanna trickle the last few copies I have out first, big shouts to my man Rick Rude, Platurn, Mike B and Adam 12, for all being great hosts, and Mike I owe you big time for my post Old English rant...my deepest apologies...

also if u get a chance, please check out my new favorite Blogger, my mellow J Zone, his 10 Most Unpopular Hip Hop Opinions is H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!!! J's a good dude and u can check him out over @ http://danteross.com/blogs/jzone/

Max. 200 mp3s?
Good luck mister 7L.
I don´t even own a DigitalVinyl-System.
I´m quite a defender of vinyl-only.

Hah, I was mixing "Oh What A Night" with a Fatman Scoop acapella over it, real talk I love that mix. Then again I celebrate the entire Frankie Valli catalog.

Really though, I try to keep at no more than 5 but right now I'm about 6000. One of the things that I try to (and suggest all DJs) get back to the process - be it actual or virtual - of "pulling records" for crates. That way there's a fresh circulation of songs and shit stays fresh for both you and the listeners.

Cosmo! haha! Nah I got a Lionel Richie "All Night Long" thing I do where I toss the infamous "Who's Fucking tonigh?" accapella over the hook, so I'm not back pedeling on my stance, "Be Faithful" is obviously every DJ's Staple... I def feel it is needed,I do it very often, but its like overkill sometimes, hearing DJ's playing like 2 or 3 songs in a row all with the same played out pre made Fatman Scoop shit, "Here we Go Now", "Put Your Hands up" etc.....and for the record I was in no way dissing Frankie Valli...

I just rip Vinyl right outta my mixer into my Sony Real Time Cd Recorder...then I take the cd out, rip the songs in soundforge and then turn them into an MP3...I am sure there are easier ways, but this has worked for me so I am sticking with it....
